At Ashgrove House, care is based around each person’s individual needs. We encourage independence whilst providing 24/7 support that can include assistance with personal care, washing and dressing, bathing and taking medication.
When you arrive, we’ll introduce you to the team so you can be familiar with the people who will look after you. All of our team members are recruited on their values and trained to a high standard so they can support you with all aspects of daily living. You will notice our colleagues wear uniforms and name badges so residents and relatives can distinguish who they are.
Care Planning
Our Electronic care planning system not only helps us meet our regulatory demands but also makes a more efficient use of time, and our detailed personalised records ensure we provide our residents with the best possible care.
The system allows our staff to complete their daily paperwork on iPads, taking them out of offices and enabling them to spend more time with residents.
Specialist Dementia Care
All our carers are trained in dementia care to ensure our residents with dementia are cared for to the highest standards. Our homes are specifically designed to offer a safe and secure environment to enable residents to find their way around with ease, comfort and independence.
Specialist dementia homes are mindful of colours and patterns, which can be disturbing to those living with dementia, whilst reminiscence spaces are used as a positive comfort for residents.
Safe Medication management
Our Electronic Medication Administration system improves residents’ safety. The system communicates automatically with our pharmacy, improving accuracy and efficiency. An independent study from Cardiff University showed the system increased safety, improves efficiency and helped support the NHS by saving 55% on medications wastage.
